To Connect Underrepresented Job Seekers with Career Opportunities, Building Talent Foundation Teams Up with Friendly House

To Transform the Lives of Clients of Social Services Agency Friendly House, BTF will Provide Career Guidance and Job Placement Assistance

(Washington, DC) April 19, 2022 — To support job seekers and career changers as they enter the residential construction workforce, Building Talent Foundation (BTF) is partnering with Friendly House Inc., a multifaceted social services agency on a mission to empower Arizona communities through education and human services. The strategic partnership focuses on facilitating the professional development and career placements of Friendly House clients with BTF’s residential construction employer partners seeking skilled tradespeople.

Under this new partnership, Friendly House will connect BTF with underrepresented career seekers such as GED credential holders, immigrants, and refugees. In turn, BTF will provide career coaching and job placement services to Friendly House clients. Together, the two organizations aim to help job seekers from diverse backgrounds secure opportunities in careers where they can thrive.

BTF's mission is to advance the education, training, and career progression of young people and people from underrepresented groups, as skilled technical workers and business owners in residential construction. The non-profit organization’s vision is to build a sustainable residential construction workforce by 2030.

"This collaboration capitalizes on our organizations' combined strengths and moves us closer to our vision of developing a sustainable workforce in the sector,” said Branka Minic, CEO of BTF. “By connecting Friendly House clients with our extensive network of employer partners, the workforce will grow stronger.”

“We are in a fortunate position to have such an ambitious partner as Building Talent Foundation,” said Jerry Mendoza, CEO and President of Friendly House. “Job interview tips, career counseling, and job placement assistance from BTF’s engagement managers will prove invaluable in helping our clients find career success and advancement.”
